Coasteering

An Action Packed Adventure Along The Dramatic Anglesey Coastline

Coasteering in North Wales

An amazing journey along the dramatic rocky coastline of Anglesey.

Swim, climb, jump and explore the enormous sea cliffs. It’s great fun, packed full of adventure and you can push yourself to the limit. When the waves are on it’s a full value experience!

We have a variety of venues to suit the current weather conditions. Our trips are generally timed around the high tides.

The age guide is 12+ and participants need to be reasonable swimmers, especially if the conditions are challenging

What to Expect Coasteering

We get started by learning some critical skills; defensive swimming in the waves, climbing out, shallow and deep water entry etc.

As the journey progresses so do the features! Whilst all the big jumps are optional, participants will be required to swim between features and engage with some of the smaller necessary jumps. We normally discover some interesting nature and there are sea caves to explore along the way.

You are guaranteed one of the wildest and most action packed adventures in North Wales. We generally need a high tide but fortunately we can run in most conditions and you don’t need to worry about the rain!

What Exactly Is Coasteering In North Wales About?

Sea level exploration! We swim, climb and traverse along the big sea-cliffs of the Anglesey coastline. The adventure begins with learning some of the basic skills and we progress so that participants can safely tackle the bigger features. There are often waves and wave features that are very exciting to play in and there are a number of sea caves to explore.

Is The Coasteering Trip For Me?

All of the big jumps are optional but it’s a one-way adventure and participants are required to complete the course. There are a number of get-outs but there is a certain level of commitment required. Coasteering is not suitable for non-swimmers and in big waves you need to be a confident swimmer. The maximum swim is approximately 50m but a large portion of the session is spent swimming between the islands of safety and climbing out on the rocks. Again, in large swells or strong winds the swimming element can be quite physical and the water exits challenging.

Will I Find a Better Coasteering Adventure in Snowdonia?

The short answer is no! Anglesey offers the best coastline and virtually all providers use a similar area although everyone has different versions of ‘the route’. Our wetsuits are winter 5mm wetsuits and in the shoulder seasons we use wetsuit gloves, socks and hats. We’re very experienced and very good at keeping the team moving; this means more jumps and less getting cold (do not underestimate this element!).
