Kayaking & Canoeing – A North Wales Safari
A Relaxing Picturesque Flat Water Paddle
Guided Kayaking & Canoeing
Our guided kayaking and canoe trips are generally very relaxing; we paddle on the flat water estuary passing wildlife and places of historical interest along the way. We’ve got single and tandem sit on top kayaks and Canadian canoes; they’re very easy to paddle. Snowdonia has some spectacular scenery and when the sun’s out its a lovely adventure suitable for all ages.
We run combined guided kayak and canoe trips so you’ll often get the chance to try different boats out. If you have small children (under 14) in the group, they will need to be in a tandem boat with an adult.
What to Expect
We meet near the river, get geared up and after an instructional briefing, head out on the water. We’ll teach you the skills you need to be able to happily paddle your kayak. Along the way we pass different ecosystems and we often see wildlife including lots of birds (kingfishers, buzzards, herons, the osprey).
We’ll normally paddle up the river and float back down again once we’re at the head of the tidal zone. If the conditions are right, we sometimes do a one way trip paddling the whole length of the estuary.
